Sports

On the field, on the court, on the water.

Aiden has played soccer since kindergarten at a number of positions, and enjoys playing striker for both NEFC and Fay. In winter he plays basketball for Fay, and he has grown up on the water and the slopes.

Where he plays

Two teams, two seasons.

NEFC · Fall

Soccer, Game-day captain

He plays for NEFC’s Metro North Boys U13 team, and had multiple goals prior to his injury. He was the team’s top scorer in 2025. His main position is striker.

Fay School · Fall

He plays on Fay’s soccer team in the fall, usually up front as a striker.

Fay School · Winter

Basketball

He started basketball in 2025 and is in his second winter on Fay’s team.

Summer 2026

Camps and training

Aiden had extensive 1-on-1 soccer skill training with a NEFC coach this summer. He also went to NEFC and Lake Winnipesaukee soccer camps and Paul Hogan’s basketball camp.

One Fay match he remembers

“Taking one action at the right time can change the tide in your favor.”

Aiden, on what that game taught him

Aiden was filling in on defense, and Fay’s five-goal lead had shrunk by three. He rallied and reminded his fellow defenders of a practice drill focused on pressure, cover, balance. He told them to focus, not worry about the past, and just play the next play. They started pressing again, won the ball back, and Aiden was able to capitalize on a cross from the right wing and score, shifting the momentum back.

Fall 2026

“Even though I’m injured … I really wanna help my team in all the ways I can.”

Aiden, on staying involved after his injury

In October, Aiden broke his tibia playing soccer. His first concern was the team. He went to the Ocean Cup Tournament on crutches to cheer them on, and his coach and teammates appreciated it. He expects to be off his boot by mid-November.

On the water and the slopes

Summers on the lake. Winters on the mountain.

Aiden has been swimming since he was a year and a half old, and he has grown up spending summers and winters at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. On the lake he wakeboards, wakesurfs, kayaks, and swims. In winter, he skis.

Looking ahead

Crew, at his next school.

After growing up on the water, Aiden is very interested in rowing crew, and he’s looking forward to it at his next school.

Next: the band, and the instruments before it.
